I will not lie, I have disliked QuickBooks for many years. There are some benefits but mostly I have found QuickBooks to be too complicated for your average person to use. Because of that I have mostly promoted Xero to my accounting clients. However the more I have used QuickBooks self-employed, the more I like it. I come from a family of solo-entrepreneurs. My dad ran his own bricklaying business . My mom and dad together ran a kennel together. Both of my daughters run small businesses. None of them are accountants. QuickBooks self employed is not overly complicated. It helps you track business miles and expenses.
